Eyebrow Lamination is a new brow treatment that will help give you a thicker, fuller, taller, uniform brow shape. Clients are often surprised by how much bigger their brows end up looking. Your brows will be held up and set in place all day long. The process involves a setting solution that is placed on the brow to make the hairs more uniformed and to enable the brow technician to set the brows into a new shape. The brow artist can create arches, extend tails, tame unruly hair and create the latest ‘fluffy’ brow look. This is the ultimate brow solution for eyebrows that do not have symmetry where the hairs follow a different pattern; with lamination we can realign the brows in such a way to give them the desired shape you want and a fuller look.
Our brow artists have been trained to a high standard to assess how your brow hair will shape to ensure a safe and long-lasting brow lamination. The results are natural and enhancing! Giving you a brow shape you never knew you had.
This service includes wax and an optional two week touch up. Your two week touch up will extend the life of your brow lamination and make sure brow hairs are being properly nourished. During the two week touch up a special brow mask is applied on the brow hair for approximately 20 minutes. This mask is the ultimate product for brow care, growth, and restoration. Repairing hair from the inside out, this formula will rejuvenate your brows and give added strength. Lastly, we will set your brows with our Set & Go Growth Serum. This serum will set on your brows for 48 hours which will also add moisture and help with brow growth.
Lasts 4 - 8 weeks depending on hair cycle and aftercare.
What do I do to prepare for my brow lamination?
Please come to your appointment with clean brows. Meaning no makeup on or near the eyebrows. Please avoid wearing any foundation, concealer or creams on or near the brow area. Failure to do so may affect your results.
How long will my brow lamination last?
Results vary based on the length, fullness, thickness, and growth structure of your brows, but the results from your brow lamination last approximately 4 to 8 weeks depending on the client following aftercare.
How does the brow lamination process work?
The brow lamination process begins by painting a perming solution onto the brow, which loosens the hair’s bonds, preparing them for a lengthened direction and shape. Typically the perming solution is applied for a few minutes, however for more stubborn, coarse hair, your esthetician may increase this up to an additional 1-2 minutes. Once relaxed, your brows hairs are brushed into your desired shape, and a fixing solution is applied to reform the hair bonds into their new shape and ensure a long-lasting result. Like the perming solution, the fixing solution should be applied for a few minutes, with more stubborn, coarse hair, needing additional minutes. Last but certainly not least, your artist will apply a nourishing solution to replenish your brows and leave them protected, smooth, and shiny. This step is crucial to ensure long-lasting results and healthy brows after the chemical process. The nourishing Solution has keratin proteins that heal, repair, and protect both the exterior cuticle of the brow hair and the interior structure in the cortex! For the best results post-brow lamination treatment, you can use our brow gel aftercare product to keep your brow hair feeling soft and strong! Simply brush on your brows daily for thicker, richer, and more luscious results that last!
When should I come in again to get another brow lamination?
It is recommended that you come in after 4 weeks to get another brow lamination. When the brow hair starts to go to its original state that is a sign that you are ready for another treatment.
I had my brow lamination done at a different salon or by another person and they were over processed or damaged; can I still get a brow lamination at Lash Love Beauty Bar?
Yes! Depending on the condition of your brows and when the previous lamination was completed. In most cases we should be able to fix the brows and get them nourished back to health. After a lamination treatment is completed to fix the bad lamination, all clients will need to purchase a brow serum and aftercare conditioner. These are needed in order to nourish the brow hair to their original state. Many over processed or damaged brows from bad laminations become extremely dehydrated and brittle. Our brow serum will help the brows to grow combined with our aftercare conditioner to prevent brow breakage, fallout and strengthen the brow hair. We call this the BROW FIX IT KIT!
I just had my brow lamination done and I got them wet, accidentally slept on them. What should I do?
It is completely normal to have a few brows move or crinkle but if you have gotten them wet before the 48 hours or they got kinked from you sleeping on your sides or on your face, then we are able to fix them after 48 hours. Please try to comb through them first and if that doesn’t work then make sure to contact us within the first three days after your treatment and we will schedule you to come in. If you feel your brows are dehydrated make sure to use castor oil on them nightly like a mask. Please note that NO REFUNDS are given on any services performed.
I have a wedding, special occasion, trip coming up and I have never had brow lamination when should I book?
If you have never had a brow lamination and have a special event, then we recommend booking 1-2 weeks before the event. If you book right before an event and are not completely satisfied with the result then we may not have the time available to squeeze you in at the last minute for a fix or change of service. If you are unsure on what service to choose whether a brow lamination, wax or tinting please text a photo of your brows to 515-207-2991 and a brow artist will be able to discuss what service is best for you.
How do I know if I am a good candidate for brow lamination?
As a non-invasive, affordable, temporary, and highly impactful brow solution, brow lamination is suitable and safe for almost everyone! No matter whether your brow concern is over plucking, aging, gaps, thinning, or unruliness — brow lamination is an amazingly effective solution to most common brow complaints. Some clients even find that it’s an excellent alternative to microblading! However, it should be noted that for optimal brow lamination results you must have brow hair, ideally throughout the length of your entire eyebrow. Brow lamination cannot cover up major gaps or large patches of missing hair.
Can I swim, shower, exercise, apply any makeup/skincare or visit a spa with brow lamination?
Yes. You can shower; swim, exercise etc. and it will not affect your lamination. Special care is required but overall maintenance is low. We do recommend however that you do not wash your brow area for at least 48 hours after your lamination and avoiding any water, steam, heat or humidity. After 48 hours you are able to apply brow makeup and skincare. Please avoid any exfoliating skincare products on the brows as it could affect the results of your lamination.
How do I take care of my brow lamination?
During the initial 48 hours after your appointment:
- Be gentle with your brows.
- Do not touch with fingers.
- Do not wet your brows.
- Avoid steam, hot showers, facials, saunas, and swimming pools.
- Avoid makeup, face wash, shampoos and any harsh products.
- Do not sleep on your face or sides
After 48 hours
- Brush the brows daily into your desired shape. You will want to use castor oil nightly and brow gel daily (Post 12-24 hours after lamination)
